Drag Racing at PMI
SCMC & RMMC
OK - so I forgot to take pictures - I had the camera - but......well I've got a million reasons. Mainly - I spaced it. We had a great time. Kenny got there early so we had the aluminum "car port" all to ourselves. Burgers, Brats, Dogs, Chips, Cookies......Good stuff.
The race track had a few issues, nothing they could have controlled from the beginning. Timing lights out of sync at the end of the strip, oil on the track, a blown rear-end (call the tow truck)...just normal Race Track stuff.
It did get some of the events a little behind schedule. So - you might have been like Dan and Kenny and spent a lot of time sitting in line to make a run - or you might have been like me and hung out with Vonda, Steve, Lance, Bret, Neil, Dave, Randy, Dorie, Meri and our entire new generation of Mustangers - all of the kids.
Pulled out of PMI at 12:20am. Had some good runs and better yet - had a lot of fun.

Bear Creek Park - Colorado Springs.
Yep...this is what it's about. Friends, Fords & Fun.
Rocky Mountain Mustangers know how to throw a BBQ. We were invited to join the annual BBQ, and knowing how much fun it was last year....we wouldn't have missed it!
Was it the cars? The food? The friends? Was it Zack, one of our youngest Ford guys winning the "Pin the tail on the Pony" contest? ALL OF THE ABOVE.
